Client Development Executive

Background
Client is a leading global provider of global market intelligence. Our services include:

  1. Syndicated reports and web-based market intelligence services for a range of consumer goods industries including Cosmetics & Toiletries, OTC Healthcare, Personal Care, Food and Beverages, Domestic Electrical Appliances, Retailing, Travel and Tourism, Financial Cards and several others
  2. Syndicated statistical handbooks and business directories, and web-based macro/micro reference services on qualitative/quantitative country and consumer analysis
  3. A Consulting arm that produces exclusive research work for individual clients, meeting a wide range of their strategic and tactical needs through custom research projects

Job Description
The Client Development Executive role is to develop deeper relationships with and maximize revenue potential from their existing client base. We enjoy substantial penetration of leading Fortune 500 FMCG industry companies (suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, etc.) within that client base and it is this position's objective to:

  • Effectively network within (and map) key clients through ongoing, proactive dialogue with multiple personnel (Euromonitor users) throughout all levels of the organization
  • Engage in knowledgeable interactions with clients to maximize the relevance and practical action-ability of our research according to their day-to-day strategic needs, demonstrating a genuine understanding of the client's industry as well as the client's strategic and operational challenges and opportunities
  • Craft and sell custom research and other syndicated data solutions (often an intelligent and targeted combination of both) to our clients through the consultative approach outlined above
  • This role represents a significant opportunity for someone looking for a diverse and in-depth business role, targeting senior management in international ganizations and working alongside account management and analyst personnel within our organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand all of our intelligence systems and how to demonstrate their practical business uses to our existing customer base
  • Understand the full range of our Custom Research capability and be able to describe that range – by generic research type, by past project examples and by end applications to different types of clients and across various business situations
  • Work with account managers and custom research personnel to maximize revenue opportunities across an allocated list of 10-15 key target companies, each of which already maintains a longstanding relationship with us
  • Maintain continuous, in-depth, multiple-contact dialogue with all allocated companies while deconstructing operating hierarchies and processes within target companies (budgets, strategy cycles, decision-makers etc).
  • Assist in the qualification of sophisticated, tailor-made custom research proposals; manage their sales-cycle and carry out active follow up

Compensation / Required Skills
This role offers a competitive compensation package that is built around a substantial base salary and commission, which accounts for approximately 40-60% of final OTE.

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Six or more years of market research, consulting, account management and/or industry analyst experience
  • Proven success in client management and achieving revenue goals
  • Demonstrable business and consultative and cross-selling acumen
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • International perspective (Fluency in Spanish is a nice-to-have advantage)
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 10-20%)

Our client, a leader in content management Web site design is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to cover the Chicagoland territory.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve/exceed sales revenue targets for named accounts and assigned market/territory
  • Develop key relationships with small to medium sized businesses.

Outside Sales Representative

Our client a leader in market data services is seeking an outside sales representative with 5-7 years of solid outside business to business sales experience preferable in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve/exceed sales revenue targets for named accounts and assigned market/territory
  • Develop key relationships in banking, insurance and financial services market
  • Identify new business opportunities to generate sales
  • Cultivate and prospect by making a required number of outbound prospecting calls
  • Manage key accounts and/or key contracts to retain and grow the business
  • Develop account plans for key named accounts that includes creating and maintaining information such as but not limited to, 1) Organization structure, 2) Key contacts with functions, 3) How and where our products are used, 4) Overall transactional and account volumes, 5) Business objectives, strategies and issue, 6) Areas of sales opportunity, 7) Plan for driving sales and relationship, and 8) account and calling notes
  • Facilitate communication between client client support, or product management and the client when needed
  • Collect and forward industry and competitive information to marketing
  • Represent organization at conferences and trade shows
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of products
  • Effectively prepare and perform client presentations and product demonstrations
  • Strong pipeline management skills using our pipeline business system
  • Timely and accurate submission of mandatory paperwork/reports such as pipeline reporting and travel expenses

Qualifications Required

  • 5+ years field sales experience
  • College degree
  • Solid and demonstrable relationship selling skills
  • Strong customer account management focus
  • Banking experience a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office software
  • Understanding of bank technology, compliance and payments
  • Motivated self starter with excellent communication skills (written/verbal) Team player
